Six steps to your documentary film

When you reach out to us, we will chat through who the documentary film will be about. For some people, a recent event has led them to consider This is Their Life and we would like to understand a little about you and your family.
Book
Once you are fully informed and are happy about how our three packages and the filming process works, we will send you our booking form, filming checklist, and payment details to confirm your choice of package.
Visit
We will spend a day with you and your family to talk through and note the stories you want to include. We will help choose photographs and home movies to illustrate your stories, and collect these for scanning and transferring.
Filming
The day of filming is made as relaxed as possible. Hair and make-up done, we will settle in for the first of our chats, gently prompting the stories you want to tell. We take plenty of breaks. We also return your photographs and home movies.
Editing
Depending on your chosen length of This is Their Life documentary film, editing takes around a week. We use music and sound design to bring to life your stories and family history, and include your newly scanned and transferred material.
Presentation
Sent by Special Delivery, your This is Their Life Family Heirloom Presentation Box will contain copies of your documentary film on DVD, BluRay, USB stick, commemorative portrait photograph, and details of your private online viewing link.
